Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks Show Mavuika Already Needs A Major Design Overhaul
One aspect of Mavuika’s design in Genshin Impact 5.3 already needs a major overhaul, as seen in leaks for the action RPG’s next update. Mavuika is the Pyro Archon from Natlan and she is lined up to be one of the new character releases during the upcoming patch alongside Citlali. The long-anticipated Mavuika is listed among the four new characters in Genshin Impact 5.3, which also includes the Liyue character Lan Yan and the Pyro Traveler. Due to the start of the beta tests for Version 5.3, there have been several leaks, including details on the gameplay kit for Mavuika.
The leaks about Mavuika describe her as a hybrid Pyro DPS and sub-DPS unit capable of either sticking on the field or dealing off-field DMG to opponents. Additionally, the rumors say that she can ride her Flamestrider motorcycle and while doing so, infuse her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks with Pyro to deal constant elemental damage. Mavuika’s leaked Elemental Burst does not use Energy, but a unique mechanic called Fighting Spirit. New Mavuika leaks in Genshin Impact 5.3 have highlighted an issue with a part of the character’s design, which could be easily addressed before the character’s release in January.
Mavuika’s Leaked Burst Icon In Genshin Impact 5.3 Could Use Some Work
The Icon Shows The Different Levels Of Fighting Spirit
In addition to the details about how her kit actually functions, the design for the icon of Mavuika’s Elemental Burst has also been leaked. The information was provided by the leaker known as Uncle Balls and shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. Mavuika’s Fighting Spirit allegedly charges in instances of 50 points and, based on the previous leaks, she can unleash her Burst once she reaches 100 points, not having to fully charge it up to 200. The new leak shows how Mavuika’s Burst icon in Genshin Impact looks with 0, 50, 100, 150, and 200 points.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Character Banner Leaks Show Concerning Absence
An ongoing absence from Genshin Impact banners has been noticed once again in Version 5.3 leaks, which may condemn an entire element to its doom.
While it’s possible to see the differences in charges by a subtle line showing the Fighting Spirit meter, it may be too subtle. Against an orange-hued background, as shown in the leak, the orange-colored Burst icon could cause some confusion during gameplay – especially if the player is using a smaller screen, such as a mobile device. As such, players may be saving up to 200 Fighting Spirit points and not realize they activated it at 150 points, for example. The design in the leaked Burst icon could use some extra work to make it more distinguishable in Genshin Impact.
Mavuika’s Leaked Burst Icon In Genshin Impact Could Take Inspiration From Honkai: Star Rail
Argenti Also Has Two Levels In Their Ultimate Ability
HoYoverse doesn’t need to look too far for inspiration on how this can be achieved. In the title’s sister game, Honkai: Star Rail, there’s a character called Argenti, who also has varied levels for his Ultimate ability. Like the rumors about Mavuika, Argenti can use his Ultimate at a medium charge or a full charge. At the medium charge, Argenti’s Ultimate is represented by a symbol, while his full charge is represented by another. This makes the different levels of his Ultimate ability easily distinguishable – players know exactly what they will use with Argenti in Honkai: Star Rail.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks: Pyro Traveler’s Kit Shows Xiangling’s Reign As A Pyro Sub-DPS May Have Come To An End After Four Years
The Pyro Traveler could become the best new Pyro sub-DPS in Genshin Impact, based on the leaks regarding their gameplay kit in Version 5.3.
A separate icon system to represent a half charge of Fighting Spirit and its full charge could be the easiest way to make Mavuika’s leaked Burst icon more visually communicative with players. If that is not considered, the company should at least consider making the line showing the number of Fighting Spirit points a bit less subtle, so as to allow players to quickly check the status without having to squint their eyes and find the line in the midst of movement and combat.
Alternatively, HoYoverse could even add a small counter to the top of the Burst icon to better illustrate how many Fighting Spirit points players have acquired.
This is not the first leaked problem with Mavuika in Genshin Impact 5.3. The first issue arose with reports from leakers stating and showcasing via leaked footage that Mavuika’s off-field Pyro abilities do not hit opponents when the team’s active character takes to the sky. Essentially, this makes her incompatible with characters like Chasca. A new report by Uncle Balls on Reddit states that there has been a partial fix to the issue, where Mavuika’s attacks hit when Chasca flies, but not when she uses her Charged Attack – this may still undergo more changes during the beta.
It seems like, despite how good her kit is rumored to be, Mavuika still has a lot of minor issues that need to be addressed before she is released. Otherwise, she may not be as popular a character as originally intended, especially with limitations on who works with her. The problem with the leaked Burst icon is a minor one, but the tweak would substantially improve the player experience for those who obtain Mavuika in Genshin Impact.
