Two charged after injured baby found unresponsive in house
A man and woman have been charged with assault after a baby boy was found unresponsive in a house in Merseyside.
Officers visited a property on Percy Road in Seacombe, on the Wirral, on Sunday after reports of concern for the child.
The infant was found with injuries on its body, police said.
He was taken to hospital and remains there in critical condition.
Klevi Pirjani, 36, and Nivalda Santos Pirjani, 33, both of Percy Road, Seacombe, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and Section 18 wounding with intent.
They are due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on December 23.
The baby’s age and relationship to the man and woman charged have not yet been released.
