Genshin Impact 5.2 Leaks Indicate Development In Natlan, Despite Lack Of Archon Quests

A set of new leaks about Genshin Impact 5.2 indicate that, despite the lack of new Archon Quests in the region with the patch, Natlan will see some major development throughout the update. Version 5.2 is the next major patch for HoYoverse’s action RPG. Two new Natlan characters have been confirmed to become playable with the update, though the content should not revolve around the Nation of Pyro. The developer has already confirmed that the Archon Quests will take a pause in Version 5.1, the same patch that introduced Xilonen in Genshin Impact, and return in Version 5.3.

As such, it is expected that Version 5.2 will rely heavily on limited-time events and other activities for players to spend their time during the six-week period that patches normally last. The beta tests for the update have started and many details have leaked so far. This includes a possible return to Dragonspine for the flagship event, new endgame activities to challenge, and the possible character banners in Genshin Impact 5.2, which hint at a long-awaited rerun for Albedo. While the narrative attention shifts away from Natlan in Version 5.2, there may be development within the Nation of Pyro.

The Flagship Event May Center Around Dragonspine

Though the aforementioned Dragonspine event that has leaked is most likely the flagship event for the patch, there are rumors that Natlan will host its own event in Version 5.2. The information comes through the leaker known as Foul, which was then shared in a post on Reddit. The leaker does not describe the nature or the contents of the alleged event, but it does seem like players will not stray away too far from the Nation of Pyro if there is truly an event in Natlan.

New Natlan Map Areas May Arrive With Genshin Impact 5.2

This Expansion Should Force Players To Explore The Nation Of Pyro

In addition to the rumored Natlan event, there are rumors that the Nation of Pyro’s map will expand with the arrival of Version 5.2. According to a leak posted on Reddit, three new Natlan areas will be added with the update, possibly doubling the size of the current map for the Nation. These areas will likely come accompanied by new World Quests, the leaked world boss, and the two new leaked Nightsoul Trials in Genshin Impact 5.2. As such, players will have plenty of reasons to stay in Natlan during the patch, even if there are no new Archon Quests.

Furthermore, the two new Natlan characters should also require resources from Natlan to fully Ascend and have their Talents leveled, meaning players that acquire them may see themselves forced to visit the Nation of Pyro consistently throughout the duration of the patch. The leaks should all be taken with caution, but they have been reliable in the past and it would make sense for HoYoverse to keep players interested in Natlan in Genshin Impact 5.2, despite the lack of new Archon Quests therein.
