The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – All Outfit Locations

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom takes a different approach to the usual formula by appearing as Princess Zelda as the primary protagonist. However, similarly to Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, players can find 11 different outfits while exploring and completing missions. While most are strictly cosmetic, several outfits have special abilities that can be useful on your adventure.

Outfits can be obtained through different methods in-game, but most are unlocked by completing quests. Some, however, are rewarded for succeeding at difficult challenges or finishing collections. Here are all the outfits you can acquire in Echoes of Wisdom, including some using Amiibos.

All Early Outfit Locations

A Princess in Disguise

PhillyBeatzU has a thorough guide on unlocking them all outfits, including some you can get early. After you escape prison in the introduction, Impa suggests you don the Swordsman’s Cloak in your pocket. Quickly changing behind a statue, Zelda emerges wearing the Disguise Outfit. Though this outfit does not provide any special benefits, it does keep Zelda’s identity hidden, allowing you to progress through the game and explore Hyrule.

You’ll be wearing this outfit for a while! Until you complete the Still Missing quest, the Disguise Outfit will be the only available option to wear. Once you complete all the Gerudo and Zora dungeons and rifts, the main quest will progress back to Hyrule Castle.

Completing this quest marks your entrance into
midgame
, so outfits will be locked for
approximately the first nine hours
of gameplay.

After clearing the rift at the castle, Zelda’s identity can now be revealed safely. You will now unlock the Adventure Travel Attire, which looks more like the Zelda outfits we know. All other outfits can now be unlocked and worn.

All Customary Attire Locations

A More Classic Zelda Look

Now that Zelda can unlock and wear different outfits, you’ll be able to encounter a girl named Romi outside of Hyrule Castle. The From the Heart quest begins, and after speaking to the King, Romi runs off after her dog. The King tasks you with finding her and bringing her back safely.

After tracing her path to the nearby rift, you can complete the rift and return to the King to receive your reward, the Customary Attire. This outfit is Zelda’s classic pink dress, similar in color to the Adventure Travel Attire gained earlier. This outfit has no additional effects.

Silk Pajamas Location

Special Suit Specifically for Sleeping

Echoes are one of the primary mechanics in Echoes of Wisdom, which allows Zelda to memorize and copy objects or creatures. One such Echo is the bed, which allows you to rest and recover hearts without using potions. The Silk Pajamas outfit can recover hearts while resting even faster.

When you are first taken to
Zelda’s bedroom
at Hyrule Castle, be sure to
save the Echo of Zelda’s Bed
! It provides faster recovery than the bare bed.

The way to obtain this outfit is by talking to Dohna in the Gerudo region, who gives you the Dohna’s Challenge quest. She asks you to test the security of the Gerudo guards, which is similar to the classic sneaking sections of many Legend of Zelda games. Once you slip past, the outfit will be in a chest at the end of the maze.

Cat Clothes Location

Speaking With Feline Friends

The next outfit is Echoes of Wisdom‘s Cat Clothes, a cute ginger cat costume with a suit, ears, and nose for Zelda. It can be obtained by partially completing the Questioning the Local Cats quest, which can be started by speaking with the older man in Kakariko Village. He needs your help finding his cat by asking other neighborhood cats about their location. He’ll ask you to get the cat clothes to do this, allowing you to talk to cats around Hyrule.

After speaking with him, head to the southeast corner of the village and talk to the lady outside the shop. She’ll ask you to do a short quest to fetch an item for her. Upon giving her the item, she will provide you with the Cat Clothes. From here, you can complete the quest or go your merry way with your new outfit!

Stamp Suit Location

A Collector’s Reward

Many open-world games feature various collection challenges, requiring players to scour the world for particular items. In Echoes of Wisdom, Zelda can collect stamps by speaking with the Stamp Guy at Stamp Spots across Hyrule. At each spot, he will hint at five new stamp locations.

Stamp Guy will give you a Stamp Card to fill out by finding stamps at every location. Like Bubbul Gems in Tears of the Kingdom, each tier of stamps returned to Stamp Guy will provide different rewards. After finding all 25 stamps, he will give the player the Stamp Suit. Despite its unusual look, the outfit does not have any special abilities.

Dancing Outfit Location

Elusive Gerudo-Styled Garb

The Dancing Outfit can be earned by finding the Tough Mango Plant Lab in the Gerudo desert. Once inside, you can speak with the Gerudo scientist, who asks for your help gathering seeds in the Mango Rush minigame.

There are three tiers of difficulty in Mango Rush based on seed levels: Standard, Vibrant, and Ultimate. You must complete one level successfully to unlock the next. After beating the Ultimate Seeds level, you can return to the scientist, who will give you the Dancing Outfit.

If you’re struggling with the Ultimate Seeds level, you can try learning the pattern, as it
is not randomized.

The Dancing Outfit has a new ability that improves Zelda’s spin attack area. When spinning to cut grass, the area cleared is twice as large.

Green Tunic Location

A Classic Hero’s Garb

In most Legend of Zelda games, Link’s green tunic is featured as the primary outfit of our hero or can be found or unlocked through challenges in the game. Echoes of Wisdom is no different, and players can unlock this outfit by completing complex challenges at The Slumber Dojo in Kakariko Village. However, the various challenges in the dojo will only become available as you progress in the game.

You’ll need to complete all main dungeons to unlock them. After you complete a dungeon, new levels will be available in the dojo. The last unlocked challenge level is The Final Titans’ Gathering. Once all levels are cleared, you’ll be given the Green Tunic, Link’s classic outfit. Unfortunately, this outfit does not have any special abilities.

All Amiibo Outfits

Three Additional Outfits For Zelda

Like in Breath of the Wild, scanning Amiibos can allow players to unlock additional content that otherwise is unavailable. Though this content is not necessary for the game, it usually consists of collectibles or cosmetics, such as glider fabrics in Tears of the Kingdom. In Echoes of Wisdom, you’ll first obtain ingredients when scanning Legend of Zelda Amiibos. However, after you unlock the ability to change clothes, the following Amiibo scans will unlock outfits for Zelda.

Depending on which Legend of Zelda Amiibo you scan, you’ll unlock one of three different outfits. Each outfit is essentially a recolor of other outfits in the game, but they add more customization options. Here are the three different outfits and the Amiibos that unlock them.

Any Zelda Amiibo: Blue Attire

Scanning any Zelda Amiibo will unlock the Blue Attire, which is a blue recolor of the Customary Attire unlocked in the base game. All Zelda Amiibos, including the Loftwing Zelda and Sheik, will unlock this outfit. This outfit does not have any additional effects.

This outfit most likely references Hilda from A Link Between Worlds. Though the Lorule symbol is missing, this dress is the same color as Hilda’s outfit.

Scanning any Link Amiibo will unlock the Red Tunic, which is a red recolor of the classic Green Tunic outfit that can be unlocked in the base game. You can use any Link Amiibo to unlock it, including the Wolf Link Amiibo. This outfit also does not have any additional effects.

Though recolors of Link’s classic outfit are common, the red coloration is likely a reference to the Goron Tunic from Ocarina of Time, which protects Link from the fiery temperatures of Death Mountain. Unfortunately, this Echoes of Wisdom counterpart does not have such an effect.

Other TLoZ Amiibos: Black Cat Clothes

The Black Cat Clothes can be unlocked using all remaining Amiibos from The Legend of Zelda franchise. This includes any Ganon, enemy, or Four Champion Amiibos. This outfit is a recolor of the Cat Clothes from the base game instead of being a classic black cat color.

Like the standard Cat Clothes, the Black Cat Clothes allow Zelda to speak with cats across Hyrule. If worn when starting the Questioning the Local Cats quest, the older man’s dialogue will acknowledge Zelda wearing the Black Cat Clothes! This thoughtful interaction is just one of the many special touches by the developers in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
