Who are the names to watch on the 2021 NFL Free Agency Tracker?
Several notable players are set to be free agents in 2021. For more information, check out Pro Football Network’s top 100 free agents for 2021. However, here a few of the players who could be set to receive big-money deals in 2021.
Dak Prescott, QB
Whatever happens with Dak Prescott this offseason, he is guaranteed to receive a monster deal for 2021. If Prescott receives the franchise tag in 2021, he will earn around $37 million from the Dallas Cowboys. However, if Prescott reaches the free-agent market, he could be set to earn upwards of $40 million a year.
Aaron Jones, RB
As the premier running back in free agency in 2021, Aaron Jones could be set for a big payday. While the running back market has generally reduced over recent seasons, we do see at least one fairly lucrative signing per offseason. In 2020, Melvin Gordon earned $16 million across two years from the Broncos. Therefore, look out for Aaron Jones to be around a similar value on the 2021 NFL Free Agency Tracker.
Allen Robinson & Chris Godwin, WR
Both Robinson and Godwin could be set to earn sizable deals this offseason. As the top wide receivers available, they are potentially looking at deals in the region of $20-25 million per year if they reach the free-agent market.
Trent Williams, OT
Williams is coming into free agency off a deal that paid him $13.2 million per year. Keep your eyes on Williams in the 2021 NFL Free Agency Tracker, as he could be set to challenge the top earners at the offensive tackle position this offseason.
J.J. Watt, DL
We may not even have to wait until the 2021 NFL season begins to see J.J. Watt signed. After being released by the Texans, Watt is free to sign anywhere in the NFL at any time. Could we see Watt threaten the top of the market among defensive linemen?
Shaquil Barrett, EDGE
After playing on the franchise tag in 2021, Barrett will be looking for the opportunity to hit the open market. As one of the premier edge rushers in the league right now, Barrett should command a high price if he hits the market as an unrestricted free agent. He is one of the names to catch on our 2021 NFL Free Agency Tracker.
Justin Simmons, S
Another player who played on the franchise tag in 2021. Simmons is potentially the top available safety this season. Therefore, he is likely to be in demand this offseason from several teams. However, the Denver Broncos will be hoping to prevent him from hitting the free agency market.
