Watch Knicks vs. Thunder: TV channel, live stream info, start time

Through 3 Quarters

We’ve seen some fireworks three quarters in as the New York Knicks and the Oklahoma City Thunder have combined for 190 points. New York currently holds a 96-94 lead.

Power forward Julius Randle (26 points) has been the top scorer for the Knicks. A double-double would be Julius Randle’s fourth in a row.

The top scorers for Oklahoma City have been point guard Josh Giddey (23 points) and power forward Darius Bazley (21 points). Those points put Josh Giddey near his season high of 24.

Oklahoma City hasn’t lost 89% of the games in which they were down heading into the final period this year, so a victory here would be refreshing.

Current Records: Oklahoma City 17-39; New York 25-32

What to Know

The Oklahoma City Thunder are 9-3 against the New York Knicks since November of 2015, and they’ll have a chance to extend that success Monday. The Thunder will hit the road for the third straight game as they head to Madison Square Garden at 7:30 p.m. ET. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Oklahoma City was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 106-101 to the Chicago Bulls. Despite the loss, Oklahoma City got a solid performance out of small forward Luguentz Dort, who shot 5-for-12 from downtown and finished with 31 points.

Meanwhile, New York came up short against the Portland Trail Blazers this past Saturday, falling 112-103. New York was up 92-77 at the end of the third quarter but couldn’t hold on to the lead. Shooting guard Evan Fournier had a rough evening: he finished with only four points on 1-for-13 shooting in his 36 minutes on the court.

Oklahoma City is the clear underdog, so they’re hoping it’s the size of the fight that determines this one. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a two-game streak of ATS wins.

The losses put the Thunder at 17-39 and the Knicks at 25-32. A pair of offensive stats to keep an eye on: Oklahoma City has only been able to knock down 41.70% percent of their shots, which is the lowest field goal percentage in the league. New York has experienced some struggles of their own as they have only been able to knock down 43.40% percent of their shots, which is the fourth lowest field goal percentage in the league. It could be a slow night.
