How to watch Hornets vs. Grizzlies: NBA live stream info, TV channel, time, game odds

Through 3 Quarters

Only one more quarter stands between the Memphis Grizzlies and the win they were favored to collect going into this night. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Charlotte Hornets 101-75.

The top scorers for the Grizzlies have been point guard Ja Morant (19 points), power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (17 points), and shooting guard Desmond Bane (17 points). Jaren Jackson Jr. does need to be careful, however, as he is in foul trouble with four. Center Steven Adams is also in foul trouble with five.

Shooting guard Terry Rozier has led the way so far for Charlotte, as he has 26 points and seven assists in addition to seven boards.

Halftime deficits have spelled doom for Charlotte, who have lost 86% of the games in which they were down going into the the fourth quarter.

What to Know

The Charlotte Hornets are getting right back to it as they host the Memphis Grizzlies at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 12 at Spectrum Center. After these two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.

Charlotte made easy work of the Detroit Pistons on Friday and carried off a 141-119 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 79-55. The Hornets’ point guard LaMelo Ball did his thing and shot 7-for-9 from beyond the arc and finished with a double-double on 31 points and 12 dimes along with five rebounds. This also makes it three games in a row in which Ball has had at least four steals.

Meanwhile, everything went Memphis’ way against Detroit on Thursday as they made off with a 132-107 victory. Memphis’ success was spearheaded by the efforts of center Steven Adams, who posted a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards in addition to five assists, and shooting guard Desmond Bane, who had 22 points along with six rebounds.

Charlotte is expected to lose this next one by 7. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 14-6 against the spread when expected to lose.

The Hornets are now 29-28 while the Grizzlies sit at 39-18. A pair of offensive numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: Charlotte enters the matchup with 113.8 points per game on average, which is the best in the league. Memphis is not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they rank third in the league when it comes to points per game, with 113.4 on average. Tune in for what’s sure to be a high-scoring game.
