The four-year-old offered many delightful moments to capture, from waving with excitement and pulling funny faces to shushing mum Kate and kissing her cheek during the celebrations

Prince Louis delighted crowds unsure of what he might do next

Prince Louis stole the nation’s heart during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations with his mischievous behaviour.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s youngest child was pictured pulling funny faces, yawning, thumbing his nose and shushing his mum Kate Middleton.

He was also seen in more tender moments cuddling up to Kate, kissing her on the cheek and resting his head on her shoulder.

A royal photographer who captured many of these heartwarming moments has opened up about the challenges of snapping the four-year-old, reports Hello.

Chris Jackson, who has been photographing royal history for 20 years, said he struggled to take certain shots of Louis because he found himself laughing along.

“I was struggling to keep the camera still as I was chuckling whilst taking these photos, what a character,” he said, sharing his experience on Instagram.

“Thanks to everyone for all your comments and kind messages over the last few days. Above all thanks for following.”

Mr Jackson shared the insight next to an adorable photo of Louis with his arms up cheering the Pageant acts.

The artist is married to Kate’s fashion adviser, Natasha Archer, and they share two children together, sons Theo, three, and baby Otto.

His post came just hours after Prince William and Kate addressed their son’s cheeky behaviour on Instagram and shared a few behind the scenes pictures of the Jubilee weekend.

They wrote: “What a fantastic weekend of celebrations. Seeing people across the nation coming together with family, friends and loved ones has been extremely special.

“Thank you to everyone who turned out to show their gratitude to The Queen and her inspiring 70 years of leadership.

“From the crowds on the Mall to communities hosting street parties up and down the country, we hope you had a weekend to remember.”

Ending their personal message with an eye watering emojo, the couple added: “We all had an incredible time, especially Louis…”

Royal fans lapped up every single second of Louis ‘ cheeky yet adorable appearances with many newspapers sharing a brilliant image of him covering his ears on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the RAF flypast at Trooping the Colour.

In the four-year-old’s first official appearance on Thursday, he was seen waving excitedly at the crowds from his carriage alongside big sister Princess Charlotte who told him off.

An insider close to the Cambridge parents said they will have “loved” the images of him, especially the iconic balcony shot.

Kate was seen in full mum mode, pulling out every parenting distraction technique to keep the little prince in check as he blew raspberries, pulled funny faces and placed his hand over her face.
