A dad is desperate to trace an honest stranger who found his cash-filled wallet then posted it through his letterbox.
Dwayne Freeman shared CCTV footage of the moment the mysterious young woman arrived at his house with the wallet, which still had his cash, cards and other contents inside.
The dad-of-one, from Crumlin, Dublin, said he was relieved to get all of his money back, as his wife was due to give birth to their second son imminently.
In his initial Facebook post which contained the video, he said he’d lost the wallet in the suburb’s Old County area and was hoping to repay the woman “with chocs and flowers”.
“Anyone know this woman? I lost my wallet today down at Old County in Crumlin and she had the decency to drop it back with everything still in it including the cash,” he wrote.
Dwayne, an assistant manager at Jack Potts Bingo, later told DublinLive on Tuesday the good samaritan’s actions proved there are “still good people in the world”.
He assumes that the kind-hearted woman, who wore glasses and a grey top, tracked him down by the address on his driving licence.
“It’s just heartwarming to know that there are still great people out there.
“So I’d really like to be able to thank her,” he added.
The post, which Dwayne put on local Facebook group, Cremlin Community Corona Support, has already been shared more than 200 times, but is yet to uncover the mystery woman.
One commenter described her actions as “brilliant”.
