Prince Harry and Meghan Reportedly Swapped Christmas Gifts With Prince William and Kate

The coronavirus isn’t stopping The Fab Four from getting into the holiday spirit this year. It’s been reported Meghan Markle and Prince Harry exchanged Christmas gifts with Prince William and Kate Middleton

According to People, the Sussexes and the Cambridges sent each other presents ahead of the holiday. Gifts have also been sent “back and forth between the entire royal family.”

Like many of us, the Duke of Sussex won’t be seeing his family in person this Christmas due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the couple, along with their 19-month-old son Archie, will reportedly spend Christmas in California with Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland. Sources also previously told People that the family is “excited to decorate for Christmas.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were even spotted Christmas tree shopping in late November. “Meghan and Prince Harry came into my work today and we sold them their Christmas Tree,” said Twitter user @imaJaaaaaames in a since-deleted tweet.

As for the Cambridges, it’s still unclear how they plan to celebrate the holidays this year. Pre-Covid, the couple either spent Christmas with the royals at Sandringham or with the Middleton family, however, Queen Elizabeth II recently announced that—for the first time in decades—she and Prince Philip will not spend the holidays at Sandringham.

“It is so difficult. We are still trying to make plans,” Prince William said, as per The Mirror, during his recent Royal Train Tour. “It’s difficult to know what to do for the best.”

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be decorating their grandmother Carole Middleton’s Christmas tree virtually this year instead of in person, as per the family’s yearly tradition.

“We may not be able to get together but, after a year like 2020, we need to remember what’s really important this Christmas,” she wrote via Instagram on November 11. “For me, what really matters is that my family feels connected. I normally let my grandchildren help me decorate the tree. This year I’ll ask them by video call to decide which decoration should go where.”
