Tom Holland Sometimes Googles Girlfriend Zendaya Out of ‘Anxiety’
Tom Holland is always looking out for girlfriend Zendaya — even on Google.
Holland, 28, revealed on a recent episode of Samah Dada’s “On the Menu” podcast that he will sometimes Google the Euphoria star, also 28, to “check” on her.
“The last thing I Googled was actually Zendaya,” Holland said while promoting his new non-alcoholic beer company, Bero. “I’m not on [social media], and I delete it when I’m not using it.”
He continued, “So, sometimes, like, it’s more of a bit of an anxiety thing, but I’ll check to see if everything’s good and to make sure we’re all cool. So I just give her a little Google and look [through] the news, and I’m like, ‘She’s good. We’re fine.’”
It’s no secret that the Spider-Man actor is protective over his girlfriend. Last month, Holland was seen leaping into action to save Zendaya from a swarm of paparazzi and fans asking for autographs outside of the Bero launch party in New York City on Thursday, October 24. Footage shared via social media showed Holland parting the crowd to take Zendaya’s hand and pull her away from the chaos.
The pair were first linked in July 2021, two years after they met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. “These two are the real deal,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly of Holland and Zendaya in July. “They started as besties, and that’s [why] their relationship is rock solid.”
The insider added that Holland and Zendaya’s families are “all in” on the relationship as well, saying, “[They] think they’re perfect together. They’re each other’s biggest supporters. They ‘get’ each other.”
Holland and Zendaya have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye, with Holland telling The Hollywood Reporter in a June 2023 interview, “Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
As for Holland’s new business venture, he recently opened up about his journey to launch his nonalcoholic beer company, Bero, of which he is a cofounder, on the October 24 episode Late Night With Seth Meyers. (Holland has been sober since 2022.)
“It was a long process,” Holland said of starting his business. “It was a very fun process [and] it was, you know, a lot of trial and error and I had my brothers try it, my friends and family. Everyone would come over and we would really try and figure out how to create something that felt like it was authentically beer.”
He continued, “For me, in this journey to sobriety, the thing that I’ve missed most is more the experience of sharing a beer than it is actually the beer itself.”
