Tom Cruise continues filming Mission:Impossible 7 in August

Tom Cruise left a fan completely baffled as he parachuted from a helicopter during filming for MI:7 in the Lake District last week.

The Hollywood actor, 59, has been all over the UK recently to film parts for the upcoming blockbuster.

And while he was busy doing his own stunts for the movie, Tom surprised Andras Katica as he landed a helicopter during his hike.

Andras was enjoying a day out with his pal when a helicopter touched down and a group of men burst out – with the actor being one of them.

Despite having an audience, Tom continued to carry out his parachute jump stunt.

After watching the unexpected events unfold, a shocked Andras told The Sun: “I certainly wasn’t expecting to bump into Tom Cruise during my hike. When I realised who it was I was obviously totally flabbergasted.

“But he was really friendly and offered to have his picture taken. He looked like he was having a great time but was also clearly involved in some serious work for the filming.

“By the time he parachuted away there was a little crowd gathered but Tom didn’t show any sign of nerves. He obviously loves the thrill of being involved in his own stunts.”

In August, Tom made one family in Warwickshire extremely happy as he landed in their garden in a helicopter.

He borrowed Alison Webb’s spacious field for his filming project.

Alison and her family were previously told that an unnamed VIP would need to land in their garden, due to Coventry Airport being temporarily closed.

As a thank you, Tom let her kids take a ride in the helicopter for free, and posed for plenty of snaps with the incredibly starstruck family.

“I thought it would be kind of cool for the kids to see the helicopter land in the garden,” Alison told the BBC.

She continued: “He [Tom Cruise] basically arrived and got out and it was like, ‘Wow’.

“He went straight over to the children for a chat, then came over and elbow bumped us and said thank you very much.”

Alison added that the day was “incredible” and “surreal” after the Hollywood star turned up at her doorstep.
