The reality TV star, who shot to fame on MTV’s The Hills, has endured a rocky relationship with Stephanie, 34, both on and off-screen.
The famous siblings first fell out in 2005 when Stephanie struck up a close friendship with her brother’s arch-enemy, Lauren Conrad, and since then things have never been the same between the pair.
Opening up about his estranged sister on the Juicy Scoop podcast, Spencer, 37, insisted that he and Stephanie were ‘never best friends’.
“We were never like best friends and chatty or whatever,” he explained.
Spencer also lifted the lid on his sister’s relationship with his son Gunner, three, who he shares with his wife Heidi Montag.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star said that while Stephanie is a ‘great aunt’ to his other sibling’s children, she hasn’t made any effort to get to know his son.
Unfortunately, former Made In Chelsea Stephanie has never been a part of Gunner’s life.
“I have the same relationship and opinion about my sister as I did in 2005,” the reality star admitted.
“She’s a great aunt to my older sister’s kids, but we’re not close for 15, almost 20 years. So long that she wouldn’t be in Gunner’s life.”
Stephanie previously branded Spencer and Heidi ‘evil’ following her brief stint on MTV reboot of The Hills: New Beginnings.
Taking to Instagram, she took aim at her brother and said that his toxic nature left her feeling drained once filming commenced.
“I’m drained from this year. So happy to be back home in London, where evil siblings don’t exist… but instead the MOST lovely people in the world- you guys are my family these days,” she wrote.
“I am so grateful; it makes my heart hurt. Thank you for making me feel like I belong somewhere (Spencer often screamed that everyone hates me, is fake nice to me, and to go back to London because no one wants me here).”
She went on to slam her former friend Heidi when she penned: “Omg and Heidi- I have no words for how evil you truly are. You had no choice to admit all of the lies you’ve been spewing about me was for a magazine cover.”
Stephanie has since confirmed that she will not be returning for the second season of The Hills: New Beginnings.
