Former Googlebox favourite Scarlett Moffatt has spoke out about her new found body confidence following a turbulent five year battle to acceptance
Scarlett Moffatt is the star of the small screen but away from the cameras she’s struggled with body confidence.
But now, after an emotional struggle she’s proudly declared her new found happiness in herself and stepped out in her stunning swimwear for the first time in five years.
The 30-year-old presenter showed off her beautiful bikini clad body while soaking up the sun on holiday in Antigua.
In a motivational post, Scarlett told how she was crying happy tears as she revealed she’s finally embraced how she looks after years of avoiding nights out due to struggles with body confidence.
She wrote on Instagram: “This shouldn’t be a big deal but it is and I’m actually crying whilst writing this. It’s took me so many years to gain confidence with my body.
“I’ve let it down at times and missed out on holidays and nights out because I’ve not liked what I’ve seen in the mirror.

The beauty shared a mirror selfie as she modelled a blue and white two-piece showing off her three stone weight loss.
She told followers: “So I hope this gives you the confidence to buy that dress, that bikini, not miss out just because your body doesn’t fit into a certain category (because let me tell you all these things are made up nobody is too slim, too curvy, too athletic, too many stretch marks, too much cellulite) LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE.”
The emotional message hit a note with her huge following of fans who rushed to share in her success at finding true body confidence.
Kate Thornton commented: “You look beautiful.”
Michelle Heaton added: “Go girl.”
Meanwhile, a fan wrote: “You absolute superstar. You are stunning and beautiful in every way! Embrace who you are life is too flipping short!”
Scarlett was thrust in to the media spotlight in 2018 on hit TV show Googlebox and later stunned fans after losing a whopping three stone.
But in an interview on Frankie Bridge’s Open Mind Podcast last year, Scarlett revealed slimming down from a size 18 to size 8, wasn’t making her miserable on a ‘restrictive’ 700 calorie diet.
She said: “I slowly realised it was quite detrimental to my mental health,”
“I’ve also deleted all my before and after pictures…Not only were they bad for my peace of mind it wasn’t really good for other people because now I look like my before picture again.
“I sort of rebelled against the DVD because I just didn’t like how it happened and I just wasn’t for it anymore.”
