Rod Stewart beamed as he posed with his family after he was criticised for his performance at the Queen’s Jubilee concert last night.
The rocker, 77, was all smiles beside wife Penny Lancaster, eldest daughter Kimberly, youngest son Aiden, daughter Ruby and sister Mary, as well as other family friends.
The photo was shared by Penny after Rod took to the stage at the Platinum Party in the Palace and sang Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline – with many viewers left puzzled by his voice.
It was captioned: “Happy Jubilee celebrations #platinumjubilee #family #buckinghampalace #thequeen.”
Earlier on in the night, Rod divided fans by his voice as they tuned into the BBC concert.
Many took to Twitter to share their excitement to see him back on stage and said they loved his performance.
“Rod Stewart cringeworthy #platinumpartyatthepalace,” one fan wrote, as a second added: “God sake, someone please make Rod Stewart stop!!!! #PlatinumPartyatthePalace.”
A third shared: “Time to hang up the microphone Rod #PlatinumPartyatthePalace,” whilst others were much more positive about his performance, with a fourth writing: “Well done Rod Stewart. Feel good sing-a-long! #SweetCaroline #PlatinumPartyatthePalace.”

A day after his performance, Rod said the BBC ‘made’ him sing Sweet Caroline to finish off his Platinum Jubilee set.
Fans noticed the crooner sounded a little off key when he sang the Neil Diamond number but the rocker told the 22,000 strong crowd: “The BBC made me sing this one.”
He even asked the crowd – including Prince William and Kate – to “join in, make it comfortable for me” as he launched into the catchy track.
For one night only, some of the biggest names in the music industry came out in force to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, which marks Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.

Rod was seen rehearsing for his big gig earlier in the week, when excited fans spotted him on the big screens doing a soundcheck.
He also joined Naga Munchetty on BBC Breakfast, where he chatted about the performance, why the Queen means so much to him and who he was looking forward to seeing on the big day.
