Piers Morgan will take aim at ITV execs and Meghan Markle in tell-all Fox chat

Piers Morgan remains “100% convinced” he was in the right when he poured scorn on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Oprah interview, and will use his Fox Nation sit-down to lash out at ‘woke’ ITV executives, according to fresh reports.

The jobless former Good Morning Britain host is said to be disappointed at how things ended between him and ITV bosses, and will use the hour-long interview to take aim at all the people he feels have wronged him.

“Piers won’t be pulling any punches. He is still very disappointed about the way things finished at GMB,” an insider said.

“For a while there was anger, but now that’s switched to a determination – a determination to continue standing up for what he believes in.”

Backed by fans who have been tweeting and sending him letters of support, Piers is thought to be planning his 60-minute platform to skewer the ‘woke brigade’ who he feels cost him his job – as opposed, say, to his own refusal to make a public apology after telling the Duchess of Sussex he ‘didn’t believe’ she had suicidal thoughts.

“For a long time he felt certain people at ITV – not all – wanted him to tone down his style. But there was no chance of that. Piers wears his heart on his sleeve and in the end walking away became a point of principle,” the mole added to the Sun.

Piers is also said to have boasted to pals that he’ll take a huge chunk of TV audience with him wherever he goes next, after viewers switched off GMB in droves following his stroppy exit.

“Piers therefore thinks he has a duty to return to the screen and provide a voice for all the people who don’t have the platform which he is lucky to occupy,” the source added.

It comes after Piers took yet another swipe at Meghan when he vowed to “tell MY truth” in the Tucker interview.

Piers has so far broken his silence about Meghan and Prince Harry’s Oprah interview in a half-hour rant on GMB, watched by several million people; in a 7,000-word essay for the Mail on Sunday, and in multiple tweets, Instagram posts and snarky messages to pals, so it’s unclear what more he’ll be saying on Monday evening.

In a teaser trailer for the interview, Tucker tells the camera: “So, Piers Morgan was banished from television for asking a simple question: how is it that the most privileged people in our society get away with posing as the most oppressed?”

“And for asking that, of course they crushed him, they took his job away. On Monday we will speak to Piers Morgan for his first on camera interview since he was cancelled.”
