Mario Falcone has been forced to rush his two-year-old son Parker to hospital after the tot got a piece of sweetcorn stuck in his nose.
The Only Way Is Essex star, 33, shared an update with his fans from A&E as he had to endure a four-hour wait before his son was seen by a specialist doctor.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Mario admitted that he had had ‘an awful evening’ amid the concern for his son and the frantic dash to hospital.
The reality TV star went on to explain how little Parker came to get the small piece of sweetcorn lodged in his nose.
Speaking alongside his fiancée Becky Miesner, Mario revealed: “We’ve had a very eventful evening.”
“Parker, at dinner time, got a little bit of sweetcorn stuck in his nose – so we tried everything but it didn’t do anything.
“So, we took him to A&E and waited four hours to see someone, and two minutes before we could see the ear, nose, and throat specialist, he coughed and sneezed it out himself.”
Mario went on: “Parker thought he needed an ambulance when we were at home, he was asking for an ambulance, but yes, quarter-past-eleven on Saturday night.”
The popular TV star then poked fun at the situation when he laughed: “Have kids, they said. It’ll be fun, they said. She wants another one, she says.”
Proud dad Mario, who welcomed Parker in 2019, later posted a snap of the happy family to his Instagram feed following the drama.
Alongside the wholesome family portrait, Mario quipped: “So, after four hours in A&E waiting to have a little piece of sweet corn removed from his nose, he ended up coughing and sneezing it out himself!”
It comes as Mario candidly opened up about his struggles with parenthood.
In a recent interview with the Sun, the TOWIE star revealed that he’s been battling loneliness as he adjusted to being a stay-at-home dad.
While Mario maintains that it was ‘amazing’ to be able to stay at home with Parker, he also revealed that he faced loneliness at times.
“As a man, you might not admit you’re lonely. No one likes to show signs of struggle, especially as a parent,” he told The Sun .
“There are so many judgmental parents out there and a lot of parent police on Instagram – it’s like you’re in competition with everybody.”
The dad of one added: “People are too scared to admit they’re finding things hard.
