Katie Price admits Mucky Mansion gave her ‘anxiety’ before Priory stint

Katie Price admitted that she hated being home at her Mucky Mansion before she went to the Priory Clinic.

The former glamour model’s home has been the topic of conversation for many years after she showed fans the extent of the mess and damage of the place and its surrounding area.

She now has a three-part docuseries that follows her attempt to transform the £2 million West Sussex home.

Katie, 43, opened up in the documentary about what led to her time at The Priory rehabilitation centre in 2019.

The mum-of-five acknowledged she was in ‘such a bad place’ and ‘couldn’t even walk into the front door without getting anxiety.’

At the start of the series, Katie revealed she wanted to transform her home because of all the bad luck she’s been having in her life.

She explained to viewers: “The house was broken into, I had friends betraying me, we’ve had two dogs that died here, a horse that died here, just a lot of horrible, horrible stuff here, I can’t tell you how much I hated this house.

“My head was in such a bad place, I just could not live here. I could not even walk through my front door it would give me anxiety like you wouldn’t believe, then the kids didn’t want to be here.”

Katie added: “I’ve been in The Priory since, because things got that bad, I’ve learned to cope and deal with the past.

“The good news is I’m now running back, so my headspace is different now here, I’m actually happy now here, but things have to changed.”

She went on to say that she chose to do the refurbishments for ‘her and her children’s benefit’.

The OnlyFans content creator wants to remove everything that reminds her of ‘how she felt before’.

Katie’s string of bad luck didn’t end last year when she went to The Priory following a drunk-driving offence.

She vowed to turn over a new leaf and start the New Year fresh but was arrested last week for allegedly breaking a restraining order by contacting ex-husband Kieran Hayler’s fiancée Michelle Penticost.

Despite the arrest, her docuseries aired on Channel 4 much to the disappointment of fans.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “Channel 4 bravely showing Katie Price ’s Mucky Mansion despite Katie’s arrest a few days ago.#MuckyMansion.”

A third viewer posted: “Feels a bit ill timed showing this when she’s not log been arrested…AGAIN @KatiePrice #MuckyMansion.”
