Former Big Brother star Kate Lawler has told fans she got pregnant with daughter Noa on her first try.
The 40-year-old reality TV personality gave birth to her nine-week-old baby in February after announcing she was expecting a child with fiancé Martin – who she calls Boj – in November.
The doting mum has been very honest about her experiences as a first-time mum on her social media.
Kate told her followers that she was “lucky” to have got pregnant so quickly as she talked about all topics in a new Q&A session.
She was asked: “Were you trying for long before you got pregnant?”
In response, she told them: “Luckily we tried one weekend when I knew I was ovulating and it happened for us. I thought it would take longer TBF”.
Another nosey fan then asked: “Will you have any more children?”
She answered back with a photo of the Von Trapp family from The Sound of Music and quipped: “Yes my plan is for us to be just like this”.
Kate, who gave birth two months ago, recently hired the help of a night-time nanny as she is struggling with sleepless nights.
In an Instagram post, Kate revealed that she has hired a night doula because of ‘sleep deprivation’ – and they don’t come cheap.
The job of the overnight nanny is to monitor the newborn as they help the parents get more sleep.
“I’m going to hit the hay soon because our night doula Siobhan is going to be here,” Kate told fans after accepting she had been left feeling exhausted.
“Every time she comes we promise ourselves we’re going to go to bed at 9.30pm and we don’t. We go to bed at 11.”
A night doula can cost around £140 a night but clearly Kate feels hers is worth every penny.
She spoke previously about the baby’s crying and talked candidly about her struggles.
In a lengthy post, Kate said she wished she found the job of motherhood easier.
She wrote: “Noa is two months old today! it was also one of the hardest days for us so far. She cried constantly. Hardly slept. Feeding was stressful both boob and bottle.
“Why is it every time you think you’ve turned a corner, you have a really bad day? She still smiled at us. Made us laugh but also things really got to me today.”
“The pressure to have a routine for her to be sleeping more. it makes me feel like a bad parent because we aren’t there yet.”
Kate admitted: “Still wishing I found this job easier and felt happier. Thankfully I have the handsome who has sent me to bed and is staying downstairs with her until 2am I should get some shut eye.”
