Jade Thirlwall keeps BRITs spirit alive with raucous exit after Little Mix win

Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall kept the traditional raucous Brit Awards spirit alive as she made her exit from London’s 02 Arena on Tuesday night.

Jade and pregnant bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards made history at the glitzy bash by becoming the first girl group ever to win the award for Best British Band.

After dedicating the award to trailblazers the Spice Girls, Girls Aloud and Sugababes in a very emotional speech, the X Factor winning trio relaxed into the rest of the evening.

But by the end of the night, Jade looked glad to kick off her gold stiletto heels as she was spotted clambering into the back of taxi shoeless.

Earlier in the night, Jack Whitehall joked Jade would be ‘drinking for three’

Earlier in the night, host Jack Whitehall joked that Jade was ‘drinking for three’ after Leigh-Anne and Perrie recently announced their pregnancies just days apart.

Later, the comedian also teased the mums-to-be by asking how they kept busy in lockdown prompting a squirming Perrie to ask him to stop as her ‘dad was watching.’

The night peaked for the girls with their historic win for Best British Group – making them the first girlband ever to accept the trophy.

After a series of thank-yous – including to ex-member Jesy Nelson – Leigh-Anne told the crowd: “It’s not easy being a female in the U.K. pop industry.

“We’ve seen the white male dominance, misogyny, sexism, and lack of diversity.
