Sarah Jayne Dunn opens up on OnlyFans and Hollyoaks exit

Former Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn has reportedly made more £121,000 in just 48 hours as her subscribers on OnlyFans doubled overnight after she was booted from the soap.

The actress, 40, was axed from the hit Channel 4 soap after she refused to stop posting racy images on the adult subscription website, despite demands from show bosses.

She was charging around £11 per month for exclusive content and permissions, including interacting and liking her posts.

Sarah gained 11,000 followers in less than two days, and after paying 20% commission to OnlyFans, she’s earned more than £96,000, according to The Sun.

On Thursday, one of her pictures had just 12,000 likes, but now that figure has increased to 23,000.

The actress, who shares son Stanley, three, with husband Jonathan Smith, had been making around £7,200 a week before she was axed by Hollyoaks bosses.

Sarah raked in more than £121,000 in 48 hours amid the ongoing controversy

Last month, she took to Instagram to announce she was shifting her racy content from social media onto OnlyFans, where she could finally take control of her modelling career.

Sarah has played Mandy Richardson on the Channel soap on-and-off since 1996, and said she had always wanted to be a model.

“I’m simply moving my sexier, racier images to another platform. This is a decision I’ve thought long and hard about. It’s about taking back control and confidence and having full power over my choices,” she wrote.

Sarah defended her decision to post racy content on the X-rated site

“I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some pretty amazing places for shoots yet I’ve never felt in control, of the content or of the finances,” Sarah added.

However, her decision irked bosses at Hollyoaks’ production company Lime Pictures, who asked her to stop posting pictures on the X-rated site, or face the axe.

When she refused to back down, they booted her from the show, and in a statement, said that they “take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously.”

She wanted to take control of her modelling career

“We had hoped we could reach a resolution with Sarah that would allow her to remain in her role but we respect her choice to continue to produce content on OnlyFans,” a spokesperson added.

Sarah was forced to defend her decision to post content on OnlyFans during an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Friday, as she went head-to-head with commentator Dominique Samuels.

After being accused of “glorifying prostitution”, the actress hit back, and said: “This is about taking control of your own images, your own choices and what you want to do with your body.

“It’s not promoting the site and saying everyone should do it. Again, it’s a choice, it’s a choice to do what you want to do on there and it’s about control and it’s not forcing anyone to get on it,” Sarah fired.
