Holly Willoughby has paid a gushing tribute to her Dancing On Ice colleagues who got her 40th birthday week off to a stunning start.
The TV presenter posted a photo of her back stage at the ITV skating competition as she posed in front of her name, which had been placed in shoulder high letters, filled with light bulbs.
Pink flamingos were strewn amongst the lettering as Holly stood resplendent in the outfit she wore for Sunday’s show, which viewers had said made her look like a “goddess”.
After the opening live show, in which Holly’s cleavage busting dress had been subjected to complaints to Ofcom, she has played it safe with less revealing outfits, but that hasn’t stopped her looking glamorous and an inspiration to many.
This week Holly swept fans off their feet with a gorgeous one-shoulder baby blue gown,
Captioning a snap on Instagram of her standing in front of her name in lights, Holly wrote: “Thank you @dancingonice for making me feel so special… it’s kicked off my birthday week in style… honestly felt overwhelmingly spoilt today with all the decorations and cake!!!! Thank you…. love you to bits!”
The telly presenter wore her blonde locks swept back into a sleek low bun, pairing the outfit with bold makeup to compliment her elegant dress.
She showed off her gorgeous physique in the figure-hugging outfit, which offered sexy shoulder detailing.
Fans were loving what they were saying, and flooded the comments section with compliments.
One wrote: “Goddess xx”
Another added: “Beautiful birthday girl”
Laura Whitmore joined in the positiveness, writing: “Ahhh have the best birthday week.”
Not everyone was happy though, with some fans angered by the display after many have their birthdays during lockdown and have been unable to indulge in such extravagance.
One called out Holly, writing: “Lovely but slightly indulgent when most people having lockdown birthdays!!”
Another added: “Nice for some …others meanwhile are struggling!”
A third wrote: “Why are Holly and co allowed hair and make up done but the government have deemed these services non essential?!”
Whatever people’s thoughts, Holly is looking like she will enjoy this week and her big day on February 10.
