Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has opened up about her IVF journey just three weeks after welcoming her baby son Teddy.
The 44-year-old actress and her wife Kate Brooks became proud parents for the first time on October 9 thanks to one round of IVF treatment.
In order to raise awareness for National Fertility Week, the mum of one shared a candid post in which she tracked the stages of her IVF treatment with a series of photographs alongside Kate.
The soap star, who admitted they were “extremely lucky,” went on to explain that she received lots of injections before her wife’s egg was transferred to her.
“As it is National Fertility Week, we just wanted to share a glimpse of our amazing IVF journey,” Michelle penned on her Instagram page.
“From the initial injections, to the transfer of Kate’s egg to me, it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, but one we wouldn’t change for the whole world!”
In an empowering message, the couple urged fans to remain positive in their fertility journeys.
“We were extremely lucky that it worked first time, as we know the journey can be a lot harder for some.
The couple also shared seven pictures that marked various points of Michelle’s pregnancy journey, including receiving injections and also getting a positive pregnancy test result.
The couple have been praised by fans for opening up about their personal journey, with many social media fans commending them in the comment section.
