Former Love Island winner Dani Dyer is ready to ‘move on’ and concentrate on raising her baby son Santiago as a single mum after her ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence was sent to prison for 3.5 years
Dani Dyer wants a ‘fresh start’ following on from her split from boyfriend Sammy Kimmence.
The Love Island 2018 winner, is believed to have called it quits on her two-year romance with Kimmence after her was sentenced to 3.5 years in jail for scamming two elderly men, Peter Martin, 91, and Peter Haynes, 81, out of almost £34,000.
He scammed the pensioners by persuading them to let him invest their money for them and then spent it on his own lavish holidays, dinners and flashy clothes.
Since Sammy’s sentencing, reports have claimed that reality TV personality Dani thought the father of her child would ‘be let off’ following him crimes.
But after being dealt with her ex-boyfriends’ sentence, she is now ready to ‘move on’ and concentrate on raising the couple’s baby son Santiago as a single mum.
Lifting the lid on Dani’s new perspective, a source told New Magazine : “Realising Sammy would be in prison for that many years made Dani realise how bad everything was.
“She knew it was time to make a change and move on. She’s ready to be a single mum and embrace this new chapter. She just desperately wants a new start.”
The insider went on to reveal that Dani’s entire family, including her actor dad Danny Dyer, are happy and ‘relieved’ that the mum-of-one has made the decision to cut ties with Sammy.
“Dani knew Sammy’s crime was bad but everyone thinks she just buried her head in the sand about it and didn’t face up to the enormity of it until he was sentenced. Her whole family, including her dad Danny, are relived she’s decided to move on.
“They’ve told her that no matter what, she will never be alone.”
It comes after Dani confessed that she was planning on having a second child in the next 24 months, before Sammy’s sentencing.
Speaking in a YouTube video that was filmed prior to Sammy being issued prison time, the Love Island star said: “I’ll probably wait until Santi is two.
“I don’t feel like you can plan these things. I feel like when I’m ready.”
“I don’t want to rush it…people who have babies like two under one. I reckon it’s amazing when they’re older because they’re best friends.
“But that must be difficult. But I feel like you can’t plan. I’m literally just loving being Santi’s mummy at the minute and I’m enjoying just him growing up and I really want to just cherish these moments and not rush it.”
