The occasional photographer appears to be branching out into a new career after cooking videos shared on social media proved to be a hit with fans and followers
Brooklyn Beckham ditches photography to be an Instagram chef
Brooklyn Beckham is hoping to rebrand himself as a celebrity chef after wowing fans with his culinary skills on social media.
Brooklyn counts TV chef Gordon Ramsay among his famous friends, and it sounds like he wants a slice of the celebrity chef cake.
The part-time photographer has already wowed fans with calorie-heavy creations that he has shared online – including how-to cooking videos to make French toast and huge burgers.
“He has been signed up by an American called Kai Gayoso, who is a digital talent expert.
“Kai thinks Brooklyn could make an online cookery series a huge success. Talks are on- going with YouTube and Facebook about what Brooklyn can offer.”
It is possible that Brooklyn could succeed somewhere that his own father has failed.
Back in 2018, reports suggested that 46-year-old Dave was looking to create a cookery show on an American TV network.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday at the time: “He’s not just another celebrity guest star having a quick laugh in a cookery show.
“David is the real deal and has an extensive knowledge of fitness nutrition from his playing days.”
The proposed show was to include personal trainer Tegan Haining – with the source claiming: “Tegan’s recipes for power drinks are legendary and I’m sure David would want to appeal to fitness enthusiasts as well as foodies by featuring them on his mini- show.”
But the series never materialised.
The half-baked plans appeared to be reviewed in 2020, however, with reports emerging to suggest the ex-footballer was pitching to the BBC and Netflix for a cooking show.
A source told The Sun on Sunday at the time: “One of the unintended benefits of lockdown for David has been the opportunity to do what he loves most – baking.
“He’s been recreating some of his mum’s old recipes, and got a load of pots and pans for his birthday recently.
“He’s seen how well Gordon has done with his own cookery shows and his Studio Ramsay production company, and Gordon’s given him some great advice.”
It was suggested a show would be made via David’s reduction company, Studio 99.
Fans of Brooklyn’s cooking skills, however, have been mesmerised by the recipes he shares via his Instagram.
One follower commented after watching, in astonishment, as the lad built a burger using four patties.
They commented: “At the first I was like ‘oh nice he is also doing extra for the GF’, and then, oh”.
While a less gut busting recipe for pesto shared by Brooklyn had followers baffled, with one questioning his use of one ingredient, writing: “Lemon in Pesto??” alongside a crying face emoji.
