It looks like The Witcher franchise could be getting a new movie, TV season, and book in 2025, making this a big year for the property. While The Witcher season 4 is getting the most attention, Netflix is also releasing an anime film about Geralt’s monster-hunting: Sirens of the Deep. Sirens of the Deep will debut on February 11, 2025, marking the franchise’s first big development of 2025. If it’s as well-received as Nightmare of the Wolf was in 2021, it will bode well for everything to follow.

The other new Witcher projects don’t have set release dates, but filming on The Witcher season 4 wrapped in October 2024, and the new season is expected later this year. Additionally, Andrzej Sapkowski’s newest Witcher book, Crossroads of the Crow, was released in Poland in November 2024. The novel, which follows a teenage Geralt, still needs to be translated and published worldwide. That’s also expected to happen sometime in 2025 (via IGN), setting The Witcher up for an exciting year overall.

Additionally, The Witcher 4‘s release is on the horizon, though it probably won’t come out until 2026 at the earliest. Even if it doesn’t join the franchise alongside the other exciting releases in 2025, all of these projects will build the anticipation for the new game.
