Volkswagen currently owns the Nizhny Novgorod factory in Russia, though it is in the process of cleaning out. Russian workers are being paid to quit their jobs, and we don’t see the German brand returning anytime soon.

In addition to producing the Tiguan, Polo, and Skoda Rapid, VW’s Russian operations were also responsible for making wiring looms.
