Renée Zellweger’s Single-Shoulder Tops Are All the Wedding-Season Inspo I Need

And for her next act, Renée Zellweger is giving us Ziggy Stardust on the red carpet—and how could anyone not be into this? For the Rome premiere of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy on February 5, Zellweger was bringing immaculate Saturday Night Fever vibes.

The ensemble, while it looks like it could be a jumpsuit, is actually a top-and-trouser set from Armani Privé. The single-sleeve top features a padded shoulder for structure, but most of the drama comes from the draped, silver-sequin panel across the bust. Zellweger wore neither earrings nor necklace with this look, but did add a couple of chunky diamond cocktail rings to complement the sparkly top. And finally, she wore her hair in a tidied-up version of the laid-back updo she wore to a photo-call earlier in the day.

Renée Zellweger’s Mad About the Boy press-tour looks have been nonstop bangers. For the London premiere of the film on January 29, she wore a vintage Balmain gown in bright fuchsia from the brand’s 2000 haute couture collection shown on the Paris runway. She followed this up with a one-shoulder Tamara Ralph dress with a black-and-white houndstooth pattern in Amsterdam. Then, she began the Roman leg of her press tour in a Maison Margiela fall 2014 strapless-tunic-over-pants situation. Interestingly, Zellweger has gone either nearly or completely jewelry-free for each and every one of these looks. But, I’m still holding out hope that just once she’ll reprise the Tiffany & Co. silver-heart necklace she wore in the original 2001 Bridget Jones’s Diary and every subsequent sequel. After all, we know that Zellweger loves a vintage-fashion moment.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is the fourth film in the Bridget Jones franchise, and it will see our beloved Londoner dipping her toe into the dating apps after the death of her husband.
