Where to watch Osasuna vs. Barcelona: La Liga live stream online, TV channel, prediction and odds

Barcelona are aiming to make it eight wins from eight so far this La Liga season when they travel to face Osasuna on Saturday at El Sadar. Los Rojillos have picked up four points from their last two games and are on the rise under Vicente Moreno. Hansi Flick’s Barca have responded well since losing to AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League with wins over Villarreal and Getafe.

Osasuna have enjoyed a strong start to the new campaign with 10 points from a possible 12 and three consecutive wins at home against Mallorca, Celta Vigo and Las Palmas. The Pamplona side came 11th last term which was down on their seventh placed effort from 2022-23, which also saw them reach the Copa del Rey final. With no win over Barca in La Liga since July of 2020, it will be a challenge for Moreno’s side this weekend.

A one-goal win over Getafe was secured by Robert Lewandowski in midweek to make it 21 points from a possible 21 which keeps Barca four points clear of Real Madrid at the summit ahead of this weekend’s Madrid Derby. Therefore, a seven-point gap could be opened in the coming days which would be an impressive achievement for Flick given the injuries to the likes of star names like Frenkie de Jong and Marc-Andre ter Stegen so far this year.

Here’s our storylines, how you can watch the match and more:

Story so far

Barca are going strong despite missing important players through injury and a win on Saturday would see them equal their 2013-14 effort as a best start to a La Liga term ever. The Catalans won their first eight games then so two more wins would be a new record which would be impressive from Flick. Los Rojillos are going well too with 11 points to sit seventh which is just one point behind Atletico Madrid in fourth.

Team news

Osasuna: Iker Munoz and Kike Barja are out but otherwise Moreno has a fairly full squad to choose from. With no dominant source of goals in the side so far this term, Ante Budimir could come back into the XI. Bryan Zaragoza should also come in with a few changes expected after the Valencia draw.

Possible Osasuna XI: Herrera; Areso, Boyomo, Herrando, Bretones; Moncayola, Torro, M Gomez; Zaragoza, Budimir, Oroz.

Barca: Eight players missed Getafe with Ter Stegen, De Jong, Ronald Araujo, Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo, Andreas Christensen, Gavi and Marc Bernal all unavailable. The Catalans should welcome back Pedri for Marc Casado while Lewandowski should continue his brilliant association with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha in attack.

Possible Barca XI: Pena; Kounde, Cubarsi, I Martinez, Balde; E Garcia, Pedri; Yamal, Torre, Raphinha; Lewandowski.

Prediction

This one could be tricky but Barca should emerge victorious by a goal or so. Do not be surprised if the final margin is slightly bigger given Flick’s side are prolific right now but equally do not write off Osasuna’s ability to perform for their fans against bigger sides. Pick: Osasuna 1, Barca 2.
